What's HOT!!!
I caught up with Madison at the Town Hall Meeting yesterday in Los Angeles. She was super sweet and wore her AK celebrity tee (i'll post a picture later) and these awesome rhinestone jeans- they were so sick, literally star-studded!
Ki: Do you sing? Madison Hill: Yes, I do music. I'm actually recording my first album- it should be out by the end of the year! *(Note: All the AK girls got a little sample of her singing with a CD of her first 3 songs which came in everyones goody bags!)*
Ki: What made you want to come to the Allykatzz Town Hall Meeting? Madison: Two weeks ago I was at a Kids Helping Kids event profiting Haiti and that event contacted me about this event. So, I jumped on board because I love helping charities.
Ki: So you're Miss Missouri Jr. Teen. How was the pageant and what does your title entail? Madison: It was incredible. My sister and I went together. My whole family got involved. I love meeting really cool people and being a role model. I also get to travel a lot.
Ki: What's one item of clothing that you can't live without? Madison: holey jeans (distressed). I have one old pair I wear all the time. I've had it forever, but I love 'em so I won't get rid of them.
Ki: What's your favorite thing to do? Madison: Well I sing, dance and act. I also go see the latest movies a lot. I have a friend who gets me free tickets because he works at a theatre so we go do that a lot.

Hey girls! Jade here. I am sure some off you guys have read some of my other blogs, but let me just say that this one by far has to be the best!  I interviewed Allyson Stoner a couple days ago [Thursday the 4th  to be exact] and let me just say she is truly the nicest and sweetest girl I have interviewed. For those of you girls who don’t know who Allyson is, she has done the following: Cheaper by the Dozen,Camp Rock, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and many others. Since I interviewed her and I am a big part of Allykatzz, I believe it is a big part of me to tell you gals our whole convo!

ME: Hi Allyson! How are you?

ALLYSON:  I am great, thanks for asking, and you?

ME: I am good thank you for asking as well. I first just want to say congrats to all of your success and I hope you realize there are a ton of tweens and teens out there that look up to you.

ALLYSON: Oh. Thank you so much. That means a lot, I am happy you guys enjoy my entertainment!

ME: We do.  Before we start, I am going to ask you some questions about yourself.

ALLYSON: Ok! Sounds great!

ME: Throughout the majority of your life you have played many roles. Who is most like you?

ALLYSON: To tell you the truth, they really all are apart of me, but to narrow it down I am mostly likeAlice inAlice Upside down.

ME: Why is she mostly like you?

ALLYSON: Well, she is pushed into a new situation. That is sort of like me, because I moved 8 times before the age 16. And that is really hard. But just likeAlice, I dealt with it, I might of not of loved it but I mean it is ok; life is about growth every time.

ME: Wow 8 times! That’s exciting and scary. But, I am very impressed to see where you are now, because moving that many times and doing all those acting jobs, I guess it is kind of like a reward?

ALLYSON: Yes, it is. Moving that many times, I am just happy where I am now, but as I said before life is about growth, and I would love to move on and do some bigger and better acting jobs.

ME: That is a great quote!

ALLYSON: Haha! Thank you.

ME: You’re welcome. Since you were talking about your acting jobs and all of the accomplishments you made, is there anyone you would like to work with in the future.

ALLYSON: I would absolutely love to work with Meryl Sreep. She has been my remodel for so long and the idea of working with her or even meeting her would just be amazing!

ME: So, you would like to meet her?

ALLYSON: Yes! I would LOVE to meet her! She is a great actor and she won so many awards, it would be such a great honor too. And when I meet her, whom hopefully I do, it will be because I am doing a movie with her.

ME: That is a great goal, hopefully you’ll get there! Do you think Meryl Streep will overwhelm you because she is such a great actor? Is there any other actor you think may   intimidate you?

ALLYSON: Well actually, an actor has intimidated me. It was actually Steve Martin. When I was working with him I didn’t want to mess up. He is so much better than me I would feel very silly if I messed up in front of him.

ME: I totally understand. While you were going through that did your family, friends, or anyone help you get through that. Did they help you go after your dreams?

ALLYSON: My family is very supportive. They help me out when I feel like I had a bad day for acting.

ME: When you talk about acting, how did you get here? Did your family member do it and you wanted to act?

ALLYSON: MY sister did acting and that’s how I got started. As I grew up I wanted to be a little different though, so I decided to start modeling. When I saw these agents they were interested in me. My family and I went for it, and this is where I am now.

ME: Is there any family members in the business?

ALLYSON: No family members in the business, just me.

ME: Since you are the only one in the show biz, where would you like to be in ten years from now?

ALLYSON: I would like to keep on moving forward. But that is God’s decision. In my mind I want to keep on getting bigger because acting is my passion, but then again it is God’s decision.

ME: Wow, that is powerful answer. It’s nice to hear someone as young as you so grounded and keeping her faith. I really like how you are thinking.

ME:  Do you do any charitable work?

ALLYSON:  Everyday I try to do charitable works.  I try to serve under privileged people with brown bag lunches. We should all do acts of kindness.

ME: That’s wonderful. I agree.  Can we talk about your earlier days? What was it like living inOhio?

ALLYSON: All my childhood memories are there. I missOhio. Unfortunately, I don’t get to visitOhio a lot. And worse of all, all of my family live there. But we stay in touch, and that is very important to me.

ME: It seems like you really miss Ohio, do you also miss the winter days?

ALLYSON: I absolutely miss the winter days. I remember not having school because of having the snow, or just flat out playing in it.

ME: I am going to really change the subject here, but tell me about CAMP ROCK 2!

ALLYSON: I cannot tell you a lot of information, but I can tell you about my character. I am going to dance more and sing more. I am also going to play some instruments. The exciting part is that there is anotherCamp Rock competition! This is going to be huge! Especially keeping it a secret!

ME: I am so exited for Camp Rock 2! Since you say that you are going to play instruments, do you actually play any instruments?

ALLYSON: Yes, I do. I play the piano. It really helps me out when I sing because it helps me stay on beat. It also helps me write and think of new songs. I also just picked up the guitar a couple weeks ago. It seemed pretty comfortable, so I think I might continue with that.

ME: I think you should continue with that, the guitar is one of the hardest instruments to play. Go for it!

ALLYSON: Thank you, I think I will.

ME: Well, this is the end of our interview. I would just like to say thank you so much for your time.  I really appreciate it and good luck to you in the future!

ALLYSON: Oh, well thank you. It was nice speaking with you.

ME: Thank you!

ALLYSON: You’re welcome!

ALLYSON/ME: Bye!

Well girls, there you have it! Allyson Stoner’s interview. She was very down to earth and remarkable for doing so many things in a short amount of time! Thanks for reading my blog! Keep an eye out for Allyson! Any questions or concerns chat with me! BYEE!

Announcing the first ever A.L.L.Y. Award Winners - tweens/teens who founded their own non-profits - who will be at the Town Hall Meeting on March 13:  Code Blue, Inc., Cupcakes for Cancer, Green Youth Movement, Kids Helping Kids, Kids Who Care Foundation, One is Greater Than None, and Step by Step.

CertifiK.A.T.'s of Achievement go to Alexandra Rose Rieger of In a Perfect World, Emerald-Angel young of Tea Party Angels, Megan Kilroy of Team Marine and Johna Rivers and Toni Gutierrez of Actionist Network for their efforts within larger organizations.

These tweens and teens highlight the very best of what youth today stands for.  They had the insight, the compassion, the courage, the willingness, and ultimately the commitment to stand up, speak out, and lead others by spearheading their own charities or making an impact on a larger non-profit.  I am so thrilled to honor them and look forward to expanding the reach of the awards at future AK Tween events.  We are forming a Network of philanthropic youth.

If you're thinking... "What about me - how do I apply?"  Or "I know someone, how can they apply?"  Soon, we have an official "Enter here"... but until then, just send an email to tweensummit@allykatzz.com.

xoxo,
Denise

I was extremely LUCKY to be able to join the AllyKatzz town hall meeting and have my voice heard! It's an experience I will never forget, for the D'Mming to speaking up to the loads of free stuff. And our amazing host, Jess Weiner.
What did I want to talk about? Equality. Not boys. Not bras. I wanted to talk about REAL issues. And I was able to have my opinion stated: we are all on an equal slate. The only problem I had, though, was that the panel at the end didn't seem to understand to things. 1: I wasn't asking what I could do about racial discrimination ( I already know the answer), I was asking what THEY would do. 2: Of course, they automatically assumed that there was a white kid making fun of the blacks and Latinos. At my school, it's the other way around. The blacks and Latinos are making fun of the whites, Jews, and Asians - racial discrimination can come from anywhere.
Now, looking at the more positive side, I absolutely loved the A.L.L.Y Awards and the charities that they brought to speak. It's so amazing to see teens/tweens in action, and I especially liked 1>0 and Cupcakes for Cancer. 1>0 helps raise money to free African children in enslavement. Cupcakes for Cancer sells cupcakes and raises money for Cancer research. Both are truly amazing!

The first ever AK Tween Tall Hall Meeting was a hit! We got to talk about how we can change the world and help parents understand us more. We talked with tweens and teens like you and me that got started with different nonprofit organizations like one is greater than none, kidz helping kids, and cupcakes for cancer! We got to talk with Brooke White (American Idol) and at the end she performed a couple of songs for us. Near the end of the day we DMed with celebs like Anna Margaret (Starstruck), Anna Perez De Tagle (Camp Rock and Fame), and Isabelle Fuhrman (Orphan.) At the ending we told adults what we thought of celebs, books, the media, t.v. shows, and products. In all it was a ver full but fun day!
