We asked some of our AK Advisory Board Girls and future AK Reporters to review the book: The Girl Who Could Fly. We sent them the books, asked them to read the books and write their reviews. The girls are NOT paid to write great reviews! They were simply asked to read and review.

Ali's Review
It wasn't the way it was done... Piper's parents always wanted the best for their daughter, and homeschooling her on their farm with no other kids was the way they did it. Ever since Piper was a baby, she could float, but when Piper found out she could fly, and caught a ball up in the air during her very first baseball game, the whole world knew! After their farm was bombarded by reporters, along comes Dr. Hellion, who promises to keep Piper safe by whisking her away to a secret location, which is I.N.S.A.N.E., the research facility for exceptional beings. Pier likes her new life at school with the other kids who also have special abilities, but when she finds out that people and things are not as they seem, Piper finds out that she and her classmates are in terrible danger and must escape. Trouble is, how do they work together to overtake Agent Agent, Dr. Hellion, and help all the other animals at I.N.S.A.N.E.?

This was a great book; it was the weirdest, yet coolest mix of A Series of Unfortunate Events, Little House on the Prairie, and Coraline that kept you on your toes because you never quite knew what was going to happen next. The first 50 pages didn't do justice to the amazing ending of this book, which I finished under the covers with a flashlight because I couldn't put it down!

My friend Isabella and I have been brainstorming, and an idea we have talked about is Camp Allykatzz! Imagine, a camp where girls could get together with their online penpal buddies! Would'nt it be so fun to meet your BB's?! For some of us, money may be an issue, but why not show how much we care and help sponser and donate for girls to go! The activities we could do; shirt making, jewelry, hiking. Allykatzz could ask the YMCA or somebody to rent a campground, with cabins and everything! And of course we could have little seminars on what we can do to be the best girl we can be! I was thinking two weeks and as long as Allykatzz is running, we could go on with it! Remember Gurlz, this is just an idea, especially for Ally's Gang to review! So what would be awesome is to write your name/screenname and any other ideas or comments! I will pass this on to Ally's Gang, and hopefully, the creators of Allykatzz will review my idea! Music is on my mind today, why? Well one of my favorite radio station does this segment in their show called "Off the Beaten Track", every day just before 5:00 they play a song, and give you a little history of the band or artist, it's a cool way to learn about some really talented people who aren't in the spotlight.

 I'm a music junkie. I love it so much, I eat breath and sleep it. (Okay so it's not that extreme but you get the idea.) It's something that I can always count on, mad, happy, or sad their is a song to fit each emotion, and keep you going.

 My favorite is not a genre, but a mix that I'm trying very hard to describe, you can't point it out in a crowd, it's mysterious yet so perfect. Alternative Folk Acoustic sometimes slow and ballad like, or bubbly, then a pinch of rock.  It's that perfect blend I have a hard time putting in words, but when you hear it, something is there, it tells a story, and calms you down.  I love all music, but that type of music just really speaks to me, not many would think it, but I really love it.

I love listening to new music, that not everyone knows about, it's cool to find things that are out of the box! Let me know what you like, I'd love to hear some more off the beaten track music! Also does your radio station have cool segments like mine?
